Felted Wool Basket
Learn and practice some new knitting techniques while making a felted wool basket! The pattern includes three sizes, but we will be making the medium size for class.
The washing machine felting method will be suggested, but we will discuss other methods.
Materials:
- A copy of the pattern (found here)
- 275 yards non-superwash, DK/worsted weight 100% wool (Scout or Woolstok are good choices)
- 24” circular needle US 8 needle (or size to obtain gauge)
- Stitch markers (at least 1 for BOR, 3 to mark corners, and a locking stitch marker)
- Remnant yarn for provisional cast on (DK or Sport weight, smooth/slippery cotton, silk, or other strong fiber)
- F or G crochet hook
- Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
