Grid Gambit Cowl
Mosaic knitting is a great way to play with colorwork without having to hold two or more colors in your hands. Working with one color per row, the slipped stitches provide the texture and color-play that is truly satisfying and enjoyable.
Materials List:
- Grid Gambit Cowl by Samantha Guerin (available for purchase in-store or on Ravelry)
- 2 skeins of sport weight yarn in contrasting colors (approximately 250 yards per color) – we recommend Primrose Yarns Homestead Sport and a coordinating color from Kelbourne Woolens Scout
- US: US7 24-inch or Metric: 4.5 mm 60 cm circular needle or size required to obtain gauge (19 sts x 25 r = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, unblocked)
- Tapestry Needle, measuring tape, scissors, and stitch markers
We request that all materials be purchased from the shop no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the class.
Recommended Homework: Using your intended needle size, please prepare a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch equivalent in main color equivalent to 6” x 6”/15 cm x 15 cm (If you have a needle set, please bring this class, in case we need to change the needle size to use). Do not cut the yarn so the yarn can be re-used for the project.
