Over the Sea to Skye Shawl
This is a class for the knitter who has done a simple shawl or two, and is ready to take the next step to asymmetry and lace/eyelets. Plus, there’s a picot bind off edge to top things off!
We will be casting on in-class, but it is recommended that you have your materials prior the first session, and complete a blocked gauge swatch. Also, note that there is a one-week break between the third and fourth sessions.
Materials Needed:
- A copy of the pattern (found here)
- 620 yards of DK yarn, wool or wool blend preferred (i.e. Berroco Iris)
- US 7 40” circle needle or size to obtain gauge (please knit and block a gauge swatch, see pattern)
- Stitch markers: both locking and circular recommended.
