Framed Pullover

Expand your sweater knitting skills with this beautiful, bottom-up construction pullover design. The pattern starts with tubular 1x1 ribbed cast on, and is knit in the round until dividing front and back for the yoke. The remainder is knit flat, including shoulder shaping with German Short Rows and then finishing the body with a 3-needle bind off. The sleeves are then picked up and knit in the round from body to cuff and bound off using tubular bind off. 

This class is 6 sessions with one week break between sessions 3 and 4.

Materials:

• a copy of the pattern (purchase here or at the shop)
• 3 contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn, in enough yardage of each color as the pattern specifies to knit the size you choose
• For a striking look, use high contrast yarn
• Recommend yarn:
• Primrose Homestead Worsted, which can be paired with Primrose Roan DK. 
• Stop by the shop for additional yarn recommendations and color pairing.
• Main Fabric: US 7 (4.5mm)  32"-40" circular needles needles (or size necessary to meet gauge)
• Ribbing: US 5 (3.75mm) 32"-40" circular needles (or 2 sizes down from the needle you used to get gauge)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Tape Measure
• Stitch markers
• Spare needle in the larger size for 3-needle bind off
• Barber cord or waste yarn to hold stitches 
• Optional: the designer recommends going up one needle size in the main fabric needle to knit the sleeves only due to the tendency of many knitters to knit tighter in small circumferences

• You must complete your gauge swatch prior to class (gauge swatch should be washed and blocked to ensure satisfactory final results).
