Orion - A Short Row Wrap
Come join us in making the Orion wrap!
This class will teach you the basics of German short rows. The entire wrap is constructed of these special stitches, so you will get plenty of practice.
It's suggested that you are comfortable with stockinette and reverse stockinette, as the wrap has a welted texture.
Whether you’re new to the concept of short rows, need a refresher, or are somewhere in between, this class is for you!
Please complete a gauge swatch before class (see the pattern for special instructions on the gauge).
NOTE: Get a head start, and come to class with the cast-on complete! The cable cast-on is suggested; please see the pattern for the cast-on stitch amount.
Materials needed:
- A copy of the pattern (purchase here or at the shop)
- 630 yards of aran weight yarn (Rios suggested)
- US 7 (4.5mm) 40” circular needle (or size to meet gauge)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Locking stitch markers
This class is 3 sessions long. There will be a two week break between the 2nd and 3rd sessions.
