Fixing Mistakes (Oct)

Dropped stitches? Twisted stitches? Un-knitting or un-purling a row? Can you “frog” (take your work off the needles and rip back to a mistake you made several rows ago—eek!)?
You will learn how to fix all these mistakes and more, giving you the skills and confidence to correct many common knitting errors on your own.

Materials:
Prior to the start of class, please knit TWO swatches as follows: cast on 20 stitches with smooth, light-colored, worsted-weight yarn on size US8 needles (circular are preferred). Avoid dark-colored yarn and yarn that “splits” easily if possible.

Swatch #1: Work in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side; purl on the wrong side) for about 4 inches and leave on needle or cord (this is a perfect use for Barber Cords)

Swatch #2: 1x1 rib (k1, p1) for 3-4" and leave on needles
