Learn to Knit Socks

You've made blankets, scarves and hats.  It's time to grow your knitting skills with learning to knit socks. The Rye Sock is a great piece to learn the basics of sock knitting. Knitting with worsted or Aran weight yarn makes it a quick knit, as well. This is a great pattern to try knitting socks with the magic loop method (double point needles and Flexi-Flips work well, too). Sizes available from baby all the way to an adult man.

*THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED FOR THE WORSTED WEIGHT VERSION OF THE PATTERN AND FOR KNITTING ONE SOCK AT A TIME ONLY.

Materials:
Pattern: The Rye Sock Pattern (free on Ravelry or in-store)
Yarn: 350 yards of a worsted or Aran weight yarn (please avoid very dark colors such as black or navy, or heavily varigated yanrs)
Needles: Size US3 and US5 40-inch circulars or size US3 and US5 DPNs or FlexiFlips, (or size needed to obtain gauge), and stitch markers.
Notions: stitch markers, tape measure, scissors and tapestry needle.

Please purchase all materials in the shop at least 1 day prior to the class. Please bring all materials to each class.
