In this class, you’ll complete a scarf, a matching slouchy beanie, and mittens. All patterns will be from the Simple Collection by Tin Can Knits. If you’ve recently completed our Learn to Knit class, this is the perfect class for you.
This class will meet for 1 1/2 hours every week for a total of 6 sessions.
Materials (please purchase all materials at least 1 hour prior to the first class):
Patterns: Wheat Scarf, Barley Hat and Maize Mittens from Tin Can Knits (Available in-store or on Ravelry)
Yarn: Worsted or Aran weight yarn** (700 yards)
Knitting Needles: US 7 and US 8*** 16-inch and 24-inch circulars, and DPNs (or size required to make gauge)
Tools/Notions: scissors, measuring tape, stitch markers, and darning needle.
HOMEWORK: Please have the required number of stitches (35 stitches) for the Wheat Scarf casted on prior to arriving for the first session.
*We will have yarn recommendations for you that should accommodate any budget. We encourage you to choose lighter, solid or semi-solid colored yarn for these projects.
**Gauge will be measured on larger needles
